The simplest fills use quarter notes. They are slow enough to move easily around the kit and they sound big.
Three beats of groove, then one quarter on the floor tom.
Snare, rack tom, floor tom, floor tom.
Going from the snare to the floor tom, lead with the elbow. The stick follows.
