Songs in 3/4 have three beats per bar. The simplest groove puts the bass drum on 1 and the snare on 2 and 3; a slower, heavier feel puts the snare only on 3.
Snare only on beat 3.
After years of 4/4, your body wants a fourth beat. Count “1 2 3” aloud until it feels natural.
